The “FabLab Chair” is inspired by the beach animals from the famous Theo Jansen who has been working for many years on ‘creating new forms of life’ that move through the wind. We made our own “creation” in the Fablab. Own design and construction, with the idea that it becomes a mobile way of transport. Our chair is therefore electronically driven. It is the intention that the chair will move with such a kind of light-footedness as the beach animals and that there is a person in the chair who controls it.

To join the Frankenstein theme, the “driver” will wear a kind of helmet that contributes to this theme.

 

 

De “FabLab Chair” is geïnspireerd op strandbeesten van de beroemde Theo Jansen die sinds vele jaren werkt aan het ‘creëren van nieuwe levensvormen’ die zich voortbewegen middels de wind. We hebben in het Fablab onze eigen “creatie”gemaakt, op de Fablab manier! Eigen ontwerp en constructie, met het idee dat het een mobiel transportmiddel wordt. Onze stoel is dan ook elektronisch aangedreven. Het is de bedoeling dat de stoel zich met een zelfde soort lichtvoetigheid zal voortbewegen als de strandbeesten van Theo Jansen. De persoon die in in de stoel zit bestuurd hem. 

Om aan te sluiten bij het Frankenstein thema zal de bestuurder een soort helm dragen die bijdraagt aan dit thema.
